Look at this!! Miracles do happen. I brought this amaryllis in the house and watered it on December 7, after 8 weeks or so of resting in my cool, dark basement. So it's been almost 2 months that this sucker has been waiting and looking ugly and driving me crazy. But it was just biding its time, gathering its strength, and now it's sending up signs of life. Of course who knows if it will flower, but at least it isn't DEAD! I hadn't looked at it for a week or so, so you can imagine my surprise when I saw this new shot of green. I might have hugged it.
