A Gray Day in January

Not much happening in the garden these days, but I went outside this morning to look around and take a few pictures.  It's a gray day, 32 degrees outside right now, and it is supposed to rain all day. I have been reading garden books lately, and getting some ideas for spring. I am particularly enjoying a book I got for Christmas, The Curious Gardener, by Anna Pavord. One interesting thing I learned from her is that when sowing flower seeds indoors, don't always prick out the weakest seedlings. The weaker ones, Pavord says, often have the most unusual colors. Isn't that interesting? Who knew.
