Frederick, Md.

Liz with one of her finds
Liz and I had a great time in Frederick yesterday. What's not to like about a beautiful sunny day, antique stores, cute shops, tea rooms, and lunch? We wandered around for awhile and then had lunch at Firestone's, and it was Restaurant Week so we got two courses for $15.12. Frederick is really an interesting town, so old and historic yet they have really turned it into a hip happening kind of town. Even one of the Top Chefs, Bryan Votaggio, has a restaurant here called Volt, which I really want to try someday.  Lots of old historic buildings, well maintained, brick streets. little alleys...it's a great day trip.

I looooved  these chairs, and they went with the cherry farm table below. I thought it was a pretty good price for $600, table and six chairs.
