Meadowlark in the Spring

Columbine

Here are a few pictures from our walk at Meadowlark on Easter. It was nice to see so many people out enjoying the day. Lots more color, of course, the grass was greener, the trees were all leafed out, even the water in the lakes was a different color. The crabapples were all in bloom, as well as masses of tulips and some daffodils and wildflowers. We watched a family of turtles for awhile, paddling around the lake and trying to get up on a rock, pretty entertaining!  I was especially interested to see the peonies, which were up and budded. They should be beautiful in about two weeks.
